I am Te'Meka Ramsey, founder and designer of Diva by Te'Meka. My journey began as a plus-size woman who refused to let society define beauty for me. Long before I became a designer, I was creating ways to feel confident, stylish, and seen in a world that often overlooked women who looked like me.

Originally from the barrier islands of Charleston, South Carolina, my Gullah Geechee roots inspire my love for bold colors, rich culture, and storytelling through fashion. Every design I create reflects a piece of who I am—a woman grounded in faith, resilience, creativity, and heritage. What started as a passion for sewing grew into a mission. Through Diva by Te'Meka, I create garments that help women feel beautiful, powerful, and unapologetically themselves. Whether it's a custom gown, a statement piece, or a runway collection, my goal is always the same: to make women feel like the best version of themselves.

 

In 2026, Diva by Te'Meka expanded beyond state lines, showcasing designs in Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ohio, Alabama, and Jamaica. That same year, I became an award-winning international indie designer, earning recognition for my creativity, craftsmanship, and commitment to celebrating culture through fashion.

My collections are inspired by life experiences, heritage, personal growth, and the belief that every woman deserves to take up space boldly and beautifully. From the runway to everyday life, Diva by Te'Meka is a celebration of confidence, culture, and crown-worthy style.
